The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Ganjam Khallikote, has gained unique recognition across the state as a leading educational institution in Ganjam district. The Secretary of the School Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, R. Narsingha Rao, along with Deputy Secretary D. Madhusudan Rao, visited the institute. During their visit, they met with Dr. Santosh Kumar Parida, the head of the institute along with all faculties, staff of the institute and familiarized themselves with the academic environment, innovative training methods, F.L.N. (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) program, A.I.P. (Art Integrated Learning) program, Bal Batika Laboratory, and other departmental programs of DIET, Ganjam. They highly praised the innovative approach of the institute under the leadership and of Dr. Parida.

In this context, a detailed discussion was held with Dr. Parida, about the current education system and the various innovative programs being conducted year-round at the institute. The Secretary praised Dr. Parida’s innovative approach. They expressed that such innovative programs and research activities in the district would immensely benefit trainees and educators in upgrading their skills. Inspired by the unique work style of the institute, they showed keen interest in promoting such practices in Andhra Pradesh and advised maintaining a collaborative relationship with DIET, Ganjam.
